1.(3001,3003,3010) This is our neighbor's tree that was up-rooted from the ground. The wind lifted it up and it twisted it in mid-air. (My mom called it he Hula Hoop Spin!) It was amazing to see, and hear the loud crash!!! I am gonna try to send you all more pictures and/or video.
2. (3011) This is a picture on Jeanette Taylor William's house. (Our cousin/ Uncle Nick's daughter) This is right down from the church near the Grand Coteau Elementary School.
3. (3012,3014,3017,3018,3019,3020) Most of these are near our church St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Notice the Blessed Mother Statue was not touched by a tree. The other pictures are coming down Burleigh Lane near Aunt Sis's House.

The short - but eventful - life of Ike
In its brief lifespan of only 13 days, Hurricane Ike wreaked great deal of havoc. Affecting several countries including Cuba, Haiti, and the United States, Ike is blamed for approximately 114 deaths (74 in Haiti alone), and damages that are still being tallied, with estimates topping $10 billion. Many shoreline communities of Galveston, Texas were wiped from the map by the winds, storm surge and the walls of debris pushed along by Ike - though Galveston was spared the level of disaster it suffered in 1900.
